Adding a task is as simple as filling in a form with a dozen questions. Most questions use simple picklists like the ones we designated in the previous slide. Another picklist shows all the people John can pick to assign a task to — including a to-do list to himself. The Assign To picklist is also set up in the Preferences section (previous slide) and covered in the advanced tutorial. It can include employees, contractors, and customers, each with different Task Meister privileges.

John assigns the task below to Mary Jones. If he doesn't understand what goes in a field, he just clicks on the field name for pop-up help about it. There's lots more online help (see the Get Help slide at the end).

The tutorial will fill in a few more tasks related to the Hr Enhancements Project. Click on the Select Tasks slide to see how Mary Jones will find the tasks assigned to her.
